VET CHECKS & TRAINING SCHEDULES Wednesday 26th August

Once our entries have closed and numbers are finalised, the Vet Check and training timetables will be posted on this page.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION – FOR A PERSON TO BRING A DOG INTO THE UK FROM EUROPE

PEOPLE

You (humans) will need a valid in date passport which covers your day of arrival and includes your day of departure from the UK. Please also don’t forget that you now need to get what is called an ELECTRONIC TRAVEL AUTHORISATION (ETA) which must be obtained before leaving your own country.

DOGS

To bring a dog into the UK to compete with us at the Championships, your dog will need to have a passport which must contain details of their microchip, rabies vaccination and Tapeworm tablet given. (Please note the microchip must have been inserted before the date the rabies vaccination was given). You can not enter the UK till 21 days after the Rabies vaccination has been given so please allow additional days over the 21 to ensure a smooth validated entry process at border control.

Your dog will also require to be given a tapeworm tablet between 24 hours and 5 days before coming into the UK and this must be stamped and signed by a vet as verification as being given in your passport (or Animal Health Certificate)

To bring more than 5 dogs into the UK,

You must be attending or training for a competition, show, or sporting event. You will need written evidence of registration for the event, and all dogs must meet standard pet travel requirements, which include a microchip, rabies vaccination, and a health certificate.

Please contact Linda on the team email address of info@ukimca-pawc.co.uk if you are bringing more than 5 dogs into the country and a letter of confirmation of your entry into the championships will be written to show to border control. To do this we will need the pet name of the dog, and microchip number to put in the letter of entry confirmation.
